Wrestling
Of all the sports, wrestling left back the most visual evidence. Wrestling was very popular in the Middle Kingdom. In fact, according to MonumentsinEgypt, most of the wrestling scenes in Ancient Egypt came from the Middle Kingdom. Also, from the Middle Kingdom, in Bani Hassan, in the tomb of Baqti III, the east wall contains a lot of ancient paintings of wrestling. Wrestling was pretty simple back then. Wrestlers were reported to be naked except for their belt. The match started with some equipments, specifically for wrestling. Moves were simply swings, throws and holds. Swimming
Swimming was also a popular and favorite sport in Ancient Egypt. The civilians made use of the Nile River for both practise and competitions. The rich and the monarchy might be able to afford their own swimming pool for them to practice. Whenever the water on the Nile river was calm and the current wasn't really heavy, the monarchy would make a competition to see who was the most skillful swimmer in the country. Archery
Archery in Ancient Egypt was the oldest type of archery in the history, dated back to 5000 years ago. How the early Pharaohs hunted and used the bows and arrows inspired a new sport. It spread fast and became one of the most popular sports in Ancient Egypt. Archery was practiced by both civilians and the monarchies. The monarchies had a better chance of practicing archery. Weightlifting
Weightlifting back then was much different from modern weightlifting. Their was no metal weights but the ancient Egyptians proved their strengths by lifting a heavy sack of sand with only one hand and keep it high in the air for a short period. [Ancient Egypt Sports]
