Polo
Polo is the oldest-known team sport. It was played to show and improve horse-riding and ball-hitting skill. Back then, each team had about a hundred people and barely any rules or restrictions were applied so the games were extremely dangerous for the players. Lots of serious injuries, including deaths, were reported. [Don Nardo]

Hunting
Hunting was very popular but only the rich (especially the kings) could afford bows, arrows and the place to train hunting. [Don Nardo] Lion hunting was a ridiculously dangerous game at the time. A lion is released from a cage, then attacked by dogs and beaters. The beaters would lure the lion to the kings, who would execute them with arrows. Other than lions, kings hunted elephants, ostrich.
